Boston to Baltimore

Travel

Matt and I arrived safe and sound in Baltimore and headed straight to my Aunt and Uncle’s house for a mini family reunion. It was so nice to finally be with my Grandmother!

Of course we started the evening with Manhattans in honor of my Grandfather.  Mine was a bit strong so my cousin added a splash of ginger ale and cherry juice.  I also had a glass of red wine  called Molly Dooker (I think?).  It was so bold and full of flavor!  Lasagna was on the menu and I couldn’t resist trying the veggie and the meat.  I also sampled a bite of Matt’s italian sausage.  Side items were greens with a wonderful herb dressing and caprese salad.

All the food was excellent and I enjoyed catching up with cousins over dinner.  We had an interesting conversation about exotic foods (think goat’s brains and bull’s testicles), but it didn’t affect my appetite for dessert.  Apple and peach tarts!

I had both with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel…

My Aunt and Uncle’s mastiff tore a ligament yesterday and was unable to do much but sit in the middle of the kitchen.  Poor guy:(

Alright, I must get my rest because tomorrow will be a long and hard day.  Goodnight!
