Operation Organization

Shopping

Hello.

A good part of today was spent cleaning and getting organized for the start of my adult life on Monday. To fuel my morning, I enjoyed a AB, oats, jam, and banana parfait topped with oatmeal squares and a drizzle of Kodiak mountain berry syrup.

Perfectly delightful, if I do say so myself.

This morning I also went to a Healthworks spinning class. If felt sooo good to be in a class again; I’ve really missed spinning over the summer. The instructor was really fun and actually didn’t spin during the class, which was kind of interesting. I liked it though because she seemed to have more energy to yell commands at the class. I thought it was going to be really hard, since I haven’t taken a class since April, but it was actually a little too easy. I think I was subconsciously holding back in fear that I was out of shape, and the instructor didn’t push the class as much as others I’ve had, so I guess I just didn’t work as hard as I expected.

After spinning, I couldn’t resist stopping by the Copley farmer’s market. I really wanted these:

but I settled for these:

I picked out a nice big eggplant for dinner this coming week and also grabbed some broccoli to go with my lunch.

I also purchased two more essential organization items for my internship…

A planner!!!!!!

This one has everything I was looking for – a monthly page before the weekly pages at the beginning of each month, a pocket in the back to store loose papers, lots of space, including easy tear-off lists on each page, and fun stickers.

I also purchased a laptop tote!!!

I had taken some of my clothing to a consignment store in the spring, and stopped by to find out I had made a profit! I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for. Remember the bag in this post? Well, I went to the store to buy it, with my laptop and some other stuff, and I realized it was just way too small:( It fit my laptop and a notebook nicely, but there’s no way it would fit workout clothes or my lunch, so I decided it just wasn’t a good purchase. However, I found this guy, who is twice the size and the same color as the other one (I wanted a color rather than brown or black for matching purposes). I LOVE the interior organization!

By the time I finally got home, I was in desperate need of lunch. I had my usual sandwich plus the fresh broccoli with chive yogurt for dipping and a peach.

The broccoli was awesome and the trees were a totally different texture then the ones from the grocery store!

I spent the entire afternoon doing a deep cleanse of my apartment because I know I won’t have time to clean much during the work week. I even scrubbed the inside of the fridge, organized the kitchen, and lit candles to make my apt smell a fresh as the fall air.

Tonight, I’m making a pizza and then Matt and I are going out for a friend’s birthday. We will be doing the Friday dance.
