RaRa Weekend

Clothing

We have a grey, rainy day here. The upside is that the hot temps and humidity are gone and the weekend is supposed to be beautiful. Before I tell you about my day, here’s this week’s fashion Friday:

I think I look progressively more tired in each snapshot…

I spent the day at a special school for children with Autism. The school was awesome and the student we observed had made incredible progress. I was amazed by the teachers’ ability to remain calm, particularly with the low-functioning students. When I was part of an ABA therapy team in undergraduate school, I worked with one 5-year-old boy with Autism and I was often overwhelmed, so I cannot imagine how the teachers must feel working with multiple teenagers at the same time. I really respect them for being so patient.

We finished assessing the student a little early, which meant I got home by 2! The real treat though was a mid-afternoon nap. It was the perfect day for one because the rain was coming down steadily outside my window. I really love naps, but can’t take them during the week or I won’t fall asleep at night.

I also ate a late lunch at home:

I had planned on taking a spinning class this afternoon, but for some reason it was cancelled. I headed to the gym anyway, and surprise, surprise got a stomach ache about 18 minutes into my workout on the stairclimber. I didn’t want to make it any worse, so I just stopped and went home:( Tomorrow, I’m starting an intense antibiotic designed specifically for the intestines, so keep your fingers crossed that it helps!

For now, I’m resting on the couch, hoping I feel better for dinner…

And, I really want to feel better by tonight because we are going to see one of my very favorite bands in concert. Have a great night:)

have you ever tried drinking kefir? it is very similar to yogurt but drinkable and has way more good bacteria for the digestive tract! i started drinking it 2 years ago and i have not had a stomach issue since! i highly recommend trying it if you can’t find a solution!
