Potato Potpourri

Uncategorized

Amigos, something is still brewing in the sinus area and I was shivering all day because of the pouring rain. I considered leaving work early, but really didn’t have that option because of babysitting. And, I think part of being an adult is realizing that you can’t just skip work because of a looming sickness. Plus, I’ll take a cold over a stomach ache any day. Speaking of stomach, fish and potatoes was the most unappetizing idea for dinner, but I had already thawed the tilapia and wanted to use the potatoes before we head to North Carolina on Friday. I bought this variety park mostly because I thought they were cute but also because I wanted to taste the purple one.

I chopped a couple of each kind and threw them into my go-to fish foil packet with spices.

I think I would have been happier with a bowl of cereal for dinner, but the potatoes were indeed fun to eat. The purple guys weren’t really that different from regular potatoes (I was imagining those blue Terra chips).

Matt and I started to watch Bruno with dinner, and can I just say that the movie should be rated X. Since when do they show a full (male) frontal in a rated R movie? It was not a get-cozy-on-the-couch-rainy-day-movie and I requested that we turn it off. I’m really into comedy, but I’m also really picky about it.

Lastly, I’m loving the bag suggestions from you guys. It takes online pre-shopping to a whole new level. I’ll let you know when I make a purchase.

Later.

I remember wanting to see Bruno because I thought Borat was hilarious (I didn’t expect to. I am normally not a comedy movie person).

I was SO disappointed. It wasn’t funny at all to me. Some of it was just plain gross.

I still haven’t seen Bruno – I thought Borat was hysterical, but I’m afraid that the movie will just be too crass for me?

Being sick at work sucks, but unless you’ve got a fever, just stick it out. You’ll be equally as miserable, except you won’t have to use PTO.
