Last night was just delightful. We stopped at a new bar in downtown durham for a round of beers….

And then we made our way to Watt’s Grocery for dinner. This place has been on my list ever since I read about it on Be Fit, Be Full!

Oh man, these were probably the BEST hushpuppies I’ve ever tasted. They were so thick that they reminded me of pound cake!

I had a local fish (can’t remember the name) with fresh pesto and vegetables over hominy….

and INCREDIBLE sweet potatoes with paprika. I never thought to cut them into fat chunks like this, but I must try this at home; it was like a pillow of potato.

After dinner, we went to the Board Street cafe to hear some folk music and have dessert. I had a sweet potato beer!!!!! It was awesome, but didn’t taste much different than a good pumpkin beer.

Matt and I split a pear-raspberry cobbler and a pumpkin cheesecake:

The pumpkin cheesecake was out.of.this.world. I was in heaven after all of these delicious eats.

I must go soak up my last day in NC and drink more beer! Bye
