Despite having to ‘work’ today, it was a really relaxing day. For starters, the weather was awesome.
A nice day for a stroll…
It was fun to just walk around the museum, check out exhibits, and spend some time with the little guy (this is the one from the summer, not Jon).
We also packed a lunch and had sandwiches in the cafeteria, which was an interesting place for people-watching.
After babysitting, I got a much-needed hair cut. My hairdresser is convinced that I need balayage, some kind of highlighting process that involves paining on color? I’ve never colored my hair before, so the thought of it makes me nervous…what do you guys think?
At the last-minute, Matt and I decided we couldn’t resist a beer tasting at our local liquor store. It was a veteran’s day special featuring a ton of different brews.
What a fun Thursday evening treat! My favorites were the Geary’s Winter Ale, the Harpoon Chocolate Stout, and the Kona Coffee Porter. I also really enjoyed tasting a peppermint Kahlua.
Dinner was a fabulous stir fry made from a teriyaki marinated chicken I picked up from a new butcher shop in Coolidge Corner. And even though I don’t really care for soy sauce, having it tonight made me realize that I kinda missed it.
I’ve got to hunker down and get some work done! Tomorrow’s Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 12, 2010 at 6:54 amFun beer tasting! I need to start looking into tastings out here… although Wellesley is a dry town, so I’ll need to look into Newton or Natick.
In terms of hair coloring, here are my two cents: I honestly think your hair is gorgeous, and doesn’t need a thing! I’m biased, though, because I’ve never colored my hair. I tend to go the more natural route when it comes to beauty products, and the thought of drenching my hair in chemicals totally turns me off. I say keep your natural (beautiful!) golden locks the way they are :).

November 16, 2010 at 3:18 amBe still my heart, another girl beer drinker!!!! I could not be more excited. Why isn’t there a girl’s beer blog with multiple writers?! I want to brew my own beers. I dream of flavors all the time. Blood orange medium brown ale. Lavender light beer. Tart cranberry stout!
