I put in a full day at my internship and then babysat for 9 hours after that. I’m looking forward to the days when working as a school psychologist and earning money are one in the same.
Despite the long day, I got to eat three glorious pieces of Upper Crust pizza and some awesome pumpkin bread (my first re-introduction of soybean oil, which made my stomach hurt, obv.), as well as watch 2 straight hours of cable TV, during which I cried when the main character on the episode of 16 and Pregnant gave birth.
The good news is: today is a holiday and I got to sleep until 8!!!!!! So how am I spending my exciting day off?? I’m babysitting all day, again:) But, I’m also getting a hair cut and hopefully doing a little relaxing this evening before I have to prepare to present at my first IEP meeting on Friday.
The weekend is supposed to be beautiful and even a little warmer; I’m just doing my best not to wish away these busy days, because after all, that is my goal.
Over and Out.

November 11, 2010 at 11:10 amI feel you on the $$ situation. I am so ready to have a job where they pay me a REAL salary. And good luck on the IEP, is it a tricky case? I hope they gave you a somewhat straight forward one and not an ED case for your first one.

November 11, 2010 at 12:34 pmDitto about school/work/interning! I work 5 days a week (including weekends), go to school after work 2 of those days and then my 2 days off are when I have FULL days of classes. I’m exhausted! But I still try to not wish away my life, but I know I’ll be happy when I’m finally done =)

Good luck with the IEP meeting! I ran one during my school counseling internship in Newton (Bigelow Middle School) and although I was nervous, it all worked out. I’m sure you’ll do a great job!
