Tropical-ish

Clothing

Well hello and happy December! It’s sad that I don’t have an advent calender. I remember having a fancy one from my grandmother one year, where behind every door, there was a miniature Christmas ornament for a doll-sized tree. Opening those doors was just so exciting!

This advent isn’t quite as exhilarating, although I was invited to Matt’s office party, so I guess that’s something. Do people have lots of fun holiday events to attend?

The weather outside is frightful, but not because of snow. We actually have a tropical-ish mist going on in Boston this evening. I was thrilled to be home by 6 (I finished babysitting early today) because I finally had time to cook a decent dinner. Enter blackened tilapia, a very common meal in this household because it’s cheap. Not sure if I’ve ever linked to the recipe if anyone’s interested…

I also made a huge pan of kale chips

and a dill yogurt sauce.

All served over cumin-spiced brown basmati and black beans.

I guess that’s about it folks. I’m off to do internet things. Sleep tight.

Yum, that dinner sounds great! I love dill yogurt sauce with fish…it’s such a perfect combo!

I don’t have any crazy holiday plans, just a nice break from school and apartment life. I can’t wait to be with my family for four weeks! 🙂

That looks like a great meal! I’ve been thinking about bringing more fish into the house and that’s the perfect way to do it!

I never thought about doing fish with a yogurt sauce, but that one looks easily sell-able to Marcus!

Even though I am now a Hanukkah-celebrant, my co-worker and I almost bought advent calendars just to have an excuse to eat chocolate every day 🙂
