Doin the Thursday Dance

Guys, I can almost taste the weekend. Although I felt great without fructose this week (physically, not emotionally), the old belches didn’t change one bit, so I think its time to gradually re-introduce sweetness in my life and see what happens. The fructose elimination has been a wonderful exercise in self-control and has actually taught me a bit about about how much sugar I’m really eating each day, so I’d recommend the challenge.

I had another productive and easy-going day at my internship and then hit the gym for an easy jog + stair climb. I had planned on responding to emails this evening, but somehow I ended up spending an hour cleaning nooks and crannies in my bathroom with a toothbrush. Why is it that I always get inspired to scrub on my hands and knees as soon I emerge from the shower squeaky clean? The good news is that I think my efforts made a difference and our shower no longer has black corners.

I was on my own for dinner tonight, so I went with another omelet after Tuesday night’s positive experience. I cooked this one in buttah, instead of cooking spray, and it was noticeably more delicious (duh). I’ve got to remember to do this more often.

Tonight’s combo involved white cheddar and jalapeno chicken sausage with spinach. Loved these flavors.

I don’t have any major plans for the weekend, but that’s because I’ve got to knock out one more case study before the end of the semester. If I can do that efficiently, then I might do a little Christmas shopping for the family, but we’ll see. Any fun gift ideas out there for parents/other twenty-somethings?

Giving up on the yeasty diet so soon!?!

Our bathtub is also black in the corners…did you use a cleaning solution or just a toothbrush?

I would like consumables for Xmas!

It was just a temporary trial…I can’t not eat sugar over the holidays!

That omelette looks amazing! I can never make omelettes look very good (at least they taste good!).

Do you think it might take more than a week to see a difference in any possible health issues? Just a thought!

Thanks!! Yes, definately it would take longer for more long-term health issues, but I was mostly just doing an elimination to test for fructose intolerance and the doctor should 5 days is sufficient.
