Under My Belt

Uncategorized

Knocked another IEP off the list this morning!! I’m glad I have four under my belt now, as I’m definitely getting more comfortable presenting assessment results to parents. I’m finally to the point where getting up every day and going to work feels less foreign and more natural, so I guess that means I’m adjusting well? How long did it take you guys to get used to the working world?

Today was my last day of babysitting for two weeks, so I helped Jon make a Christmas card for his parents. I’m not very artistic, but I thought my candy cane on the front was decent. Jon’s mom was nice enough to give me a Christmas gift, which included this lovely man. I enjoyed him for dessert and the consistency was perfect. I absolutely cannot stand hard cookies!

I ended up going to the gym tonight because it was the last spinning class that I could to attend for 3 weeks or so (they don’t start-up again until the semester gets going in Jan.) I figured I’d fit one more in before intensive Christmas eating begins and I won’t have many exercise options.  It was the hardest class I’ve taken this semester because it was an hour and the instructor was intense, but I loved it.

Given that I had to go straight from babysitting to the gym, I packed this beauty to fuel the workout. Pb and j is fabulous on this When Pigs Fly raisin bread I got this week. It’s soo dense and moist!

I think the working world adjustment goes in phases. I found it hard at first, then I was fine, then it hit me again I went for a year or so with only two weeks vacation. My first working summer was definitely a long one as well. I suppose that’s the nice thing about being in education…I’m definitely jealous of my teacher friends

isn’t When Pigs Fly bread ridiculously awesome? I bought a loaf of their pineapple, mango bread for Thanksgiving and ate the whole thing in 2 days. It was so good! : )

I’ve just become unemployed and I find it more weird to stop working than I did to start.. I keep waking up at 6am? For alternative home working out options I’d suggest the 30 day shred. It’s short, it’s simple and somehow it really kicks your butt!?
