Crisp or Crumble

Twenties

Hi guys. Long time no talk.

So I’ve been in kind of a rut this week. I’m not sure it is the post-Christmas blues, the rainy days, or the fact that I don’t really know what I want to do with my life, but my mind has been wondering this week. I’ve learned that one of the best cures for these kinds of moods is a good exercise session and a fashion magazine (because shopping can be dangerous in these times). It was difficult to get motivated to go to the gym, but I ended up forcing myself to go after dinner. It had been so long since I’d had a good sweat, that my pores itched!

Matt sent me a last-minute email saying that he had to work late, so I cancelled my original dinner plan and went with my secret favorite dinner: cereal and pb + j. I was delighted with this meal, because last week, I stumbled up my new favorite cereal. I threw this box in the cart thinking it was the Go Lean crunch clusters, and then later realized it was something new – a berry crumble of sorts, aka dessert.

This cereal in vanilla almond milk is like eating the top off an apple crisp or crumble. I’m obsessed.

Can’t go wrong with this combo either.
I didn’t cook dinner per se, but ironically, I cooked for tomorrow’s lunch. I asked Matt to cut some fries earlier in the week because cutting sweet potatoes is the worst part of making fries. These are great reheated for lunch and I’m much more likely to prep them the night before if the hard part is already done.

These guys will bring a whole new meaning to Fry-day tomorrow:)

Although, it’s hard not to eat them when they come out of the oven…
There’s more snow on the way, so I may or may be working tomorrow. Who knows!

Sending you hugs, I feel the same way about life right now. For me tho I think it is the grey weather of western New York state. It seems like forever since we had a nice day.

I just finished reading Po Bronson’s “What should I do with my life” it’s over 50 stories of people who answered that question. It was really inspiring and has pushed me into thinking of other ways to find my passion. I found it at Barnes and Noble.

I often find myself asking that very same question since I’m still in limbo with my career and where I’ll be living. And then I remember how privileged I am to even get to think about what I want to do and knowing I will be doing something that I love one day. Gym and cereal also work wonders too 🙂

I’m the same way- shopping can be very deadly ($$) at a time like that! Fashion magazines are a safe bet 🙂

That cereal sounds good! We got quite a bit of snow here last night, around 5-6 inches so most of the schools were on a 2-hour delay.
