Half Wich

Uncategorized

Greetings,

So babysitting was cancelled today (the little guy was sick). I was home by 3, and since I had already worked out this morning, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I considered walking over to the mall to use a gift card, but decided I didn’t want to go out in the snow. When I have unexpected free time these days I sometimes have a hard time relaxing because I feel like there’s always something that needs to be done. Of course, every once in a while, I have the opposition problem, and I end up sitting on the couch until my neck hurts. Today, I lit some candles and got cozy with a book (a rare occurrence). Twas quite nice.

Matt is working late today and tomorrow because his bosses are in town, so I’m on my own for dinner. We’ve been struggling with our grocery budget lately and don’t have much in the house, so I decided to go with a veggie sandwich of sorts.

One half had a dusting of bbq sauce, avocado, + peppers, and the other was hummus, carrots, + spinach. Both halves were topped with havarti.

That’s white cheddar booty on the side.

Not much else going on over here: report writing, more snow, job hunting, and the weekend are all on my mind:)

What do you guys do with unexpected [solo] free time?

That’s a good looking sandwich! Usually I’ll end up organizing something in unexpected free time, which can be good or bad depending on the size of the project! I like to read too, so I’ll do that. I try and stay off the computer but inevitably it ends up on my lap at some point! OH or watch documentaries on Netflix Instant. Seriously, the best source for documentaries ever.

    Relaxing is hard.

Must run in the family. I have trouble relaxing too unless forced to. I have a great time reading junky magazines while waiting for an oil change.

    That sandwich looks wonderful!
