Clown Shoes on a Friday Night

Beer, pizza, friends…I had a hard time concentrating on bowling with so much other stimulation in my environment!

That’s my excuse anyway.

Beer one was a Tuckerman’s Headwall Alt. from North Conway, NH. He was quite refreshing, but a little too generic for the buds.

Number two was pleasing – a Belgian IPA by Clown Shoes that was spicy and light up front with a slight hop on the finish…Loved it!

I also loved the pizzas served from American Flatbread at the bowling alley. Most of the ingredients were from local farms and all the meat was free-range. The group split three pizzas: sweet potato and goat cheese with a cranberry drizzle, spicy buffalo chicken and bleu cheese, and braised pork shoulder with black beans and pineapple. All three were divine. I’d go back to Sacco’s just for the pizza.
The party continued at the Burren where I was entertained by a fun band and a Long Trail Double Bag. I see this beer quite frequently, and had always assumed I’d already tried it, but I guess not. Hello strong, sweet chocolate.
Thanks to all the friends for joining us last night and happy birthday to my friend Becca!

Random fact: Conway is my maiden name.

This has been another fun fact from Katy, thank you very much. 😉

I just tried Great White from Lost Coast brewery in California last night for the first time, it was pretty good! Had a very interesting floral aftertaste but I loved it!

I love Flatbread! They have such good pizza (and it’s fun to add some bowling while you devour it).
