Ditching Dinner

Uncategorized

So Matt and I gave in to the spirit of St. Patrick and ditched our dinner plans of cod and potatoes to go out to eat. We just couldn’t resist – partly because of the 60 degree temperatures and partly because were really jealous of all the college students partying with their windows open, decked in green and sequins.

But, don’t worry, we didn’t go all out….we just got burgers at b.good and then grabbed a drink at a local bar.

I had a veggie burger with avocado, salsa, and cilantro.

And we split b.good’s amazing thick, baked sweet potato fries. I think these have gotten bigger and better since the last time I was here almost a year ago.

We’d hoped to go to an Irish bar, but the lines of students were pretty insane in the back bay, so we headed to the quiet and cute pizza nook right around the corner from our apt.

I had the BBC Coffeehaus Porter, a local favorite that I have to be in the right mood to order. The fire from the pizza oven warmed me up on this cool spring night and I felt a dark coffee beer was appropriate for an after dinner delight.
Tonight was a nice week-day treat, and now I’m relaxed and ready to hit the sheets. G’night.

I love b.good! My dad and I discovered it on a quick trip to Boston last summer. I almost want to move to Boston just for b.good! (of course, there are other reasons I would love to spend more time up there… :D)
