I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders. I’m finished with all of my assessment cases and IEP meetings. A few more counseling cases to see next week and I’m done and done with this internship. Whew.
And it’s [fashion] Friday!
I snagged these wooden shoes for $19 with a gift card at Urban. The color isn’t exactly what I was hoping for, but at that price, I couldn’t resist.
And this toddler at the retirement party seemed to be a big fan as well:)
jk, she was actually obsessed with nail polish and spotted my toe from across the patio and started saying pretty, pretty.
Tonight, I’m going out for a drink with my bf, and then cooking a simple meal at home. Have a wonderful weekend.

I've created this blog because I'm in a bit of a quarter life crisis. Since graduating from college in 2008 and earning an advanced degree in school psychology in May, I still don't know what career path to follow. All I know is that time is moving way too fast and I find myself living only for the weekends. Bear with me as I attempt to reclaim my twenties by finding pleasure and balance in the work week and incorporating my passions of food, fashion, fitness, and fun into everyday life.
hi Laura!
love the color and height of your shoes! they’re the perfect summer shoe to walk around in.
as a reader of your blog, i LOVE your restaurant posts especially because I use to live in Cambridge. There are a few restaurants that I recognize from the pictures, but most of them are new to me. I’ll actually be traveling to Cambridge for work in July. I’ll be in Harvard Sq. for a week and was wondering if you could suggest your top 5 or 10 favorite places to eat? I’m looking for anywhere in harvard sq, porter sq, central sq, back bay, kendall sq, south end and north end. i’m gluten intolerant, but am sure i won’t have any problems finding good places to chow! i also have a huge sweet tooth so any dessert places would be much appreciated. Flour bakery is at the top of my list!
Hey ! Here goes…
Sonsie (fancy, eclectic, good wine)
Picco (gourmet pizza and ice cream)
Toro (tapas)
Grafton Street Pub (upscale pub food, good beer)
Coda (eclectic, small plates)
Oleana (fancy, Mediterranean)
Beehive (Southern/cajun?, live jazz)
ENJOY:)
Oh, and for dessert, there’s a chocolate restaurant on Boylston called Max Brenner and I like the cookie platter (and the view) at Top of the Hub. Mike’s pastry in the North End is also a must…
Cute picture of toddler and toes!
