Out and About

Cooking

Today was wonderful; just how I wish every day could be. I went to spinning before work, rolled into the office around 9:30, left around 1:30 and enjoyed the rest of my afternoon running errands and strolling around Boston.

There was nothing going on in the office, so I just left! I went straight to the Teriyaki house on my way home to get Chinese food for one of my counseling cases (since tomorrow will be our last session and it was his final request) Then, I cleaned out my closet and took a bunch of dresses and skirts to the consignment shop. It was beautiful out today, so I threw on a halter dress for the first time this year and I felt naked! It’s been a while since I’ve strolled around with my shoulders out and I think they enjoyed the sun, which felt super bright today. I could barely stand to be out there for more than 30 minutes. I mozied down Newbury Street, taking in the sights and looking at antique rings in windows… It’s days like this that I absolutely adore living in a city.

I also stopped at Boston Olive Oil Co. one last time and decided to purchase a little souvenir for myself since I won’t be buying many groceries this week. I’ve purchased balsamic at this shop for my sister, but I’ve never had any of my own. I just went with the traditional balsamic, which is extra sweet and very thick. Can’t wait to have a salad with it tomorrow!

Hot sun = cold beer.

Matt and I split this guy. He was pretty typical, but refreshing nonetheless.

Dinner was simple three bean quesadillas with the leftovers from Tuesday’s bean dip. They were filling, but a bit bland since we ran out of peach salsa. I don’t think I’m a big fan of kidney beans either. Dinners are about to get weird next week…

What’s your favorite thing to do on a nice summer afternoon?
