Salsa Crisis

Cooking

I dragged all day today, but I somehow found a ton of energy after work. I had to do some cleaning and laundry after hosting guests this weekend because I have another guest coming tomorrow! If only I could figure out how to pick up after my self during the week, I wouldn’t have to put away a million things at the end of the week. Sometimes I still feel like a little child living a grown-up’s life.

Dinner for one: brown rice, sweet potatoes, black beans, goat cheese, sweet potato chips. Mmmmmm.

After this photo, I went to open a new jar of salsa. Five minutes and two throbbing wrists later, I still had no salsa. So I considered my options: eat the bowl without salsa or seek help.

I heard voices outside my window and decided to approach a male porch party. Success did not come easily, even for a strong male. Oh, but it was worth it. I always buy different salsa flavors and they all taste the same to me, which is why I usually end up buying peach or pineapple. But this one definitely had a kick and a unique flavor!

This meal is oh so satisfying every single time.

I’m gonna go get a head start on packing for my Foodbuzz trip because I’ll be hangin’ with the Fam tomorrow night. Adios.

Cleaning is a major struggle for me. We do the majority of it on the weekends, but I feel like at the end of the day, it’s kind of like running in a hamster wheel.

    Good luck packing!

I’ve found that the ultimate solution is to use a bottle opener (the simple ones from one piece of metal) can be used to loosen the vacuum seal on the jar, which then lets you twist open more easily.
