Pool Day

Life

I took myself to the pool today! My the public pool is nice – there was even a mini lazy river!

I’ve found that I’m much less tolerant of the heat and sun these days, so I took advantage of the adult swim to cool off. The temperature was perfect.

And there was a nice breeze. I packed an avocado and hummus sandwich, along with a juicy [over] ripe peach for lunch. It was quite fun.

Late afternoon, I hit up TJ’s and straightened the apartment – I’m having lots of company this weekend (moms & dads).

Dinner was another fiesta salad – Mediterranean feta, roasted sweet potatoes, corn, and homemade dressing.

With chips + salsa, of course.

And that wraps up another summer day! It’s funny how the less you have to do, the less you are able to accomplish in a day. Ya know what I mean?

How lovely! What a nice relaxing day. I love that feeling of being sun-soaked where you just feel so relaxed and lazy for the rest of the day. I am also really jealous because we’re in the grips of winter here and I want the sunshine back!! My running training group is way less fun when it’s raining!

Cool you got yourself to the pool! Love the circle of chips. Very artistic.

i hear ya! as a teacher, i take my summers off as well. i’ve really struggled with being productive each summer for the last 7 years. finally, i’m finding that i have to really plan each day & make lots of lists to keep myself on track. so far, this summer, it has worked out pretty nicely & i’m wandering aimlessly a lot less! enjoy the rest of your summer.
