Taking Back My Twenties

Today, I babysat the little munchkin from 7 to 7. We went on three walks, he took two naps, and I got peed on once:) And I’m pooped. Not so much because I was that active, but because it’s been a while since I had to get up at 6. I forgot how terrible that makes me feel. The realization that I have 3 more weeks of summer really hit home today. But, boy am I ready for that first paycheck! Oh, and as of today, I’m back on coffee. (I quit two Septembers ago). It tastes sooo good, but it’s so bad for my stomach/acid reflux/caffeine sensitivity.

I don’t have a single picture for you today. I rewarded myself after the long day with a stop at Chipotle, and that bowl was consumed before you could even say camera. I’m determined not to feel like a zombie tomorrow, so I will be starting the bed-readying process right now, at 9:34. That is all.

    Have you tried using cold brewed coffee? The Pioneer Woman has a good recipe on her website – it makes a coffee concentrate that can be diluted with water to drink hot or cold and keeps for over a week. The cold brewing process almost eliminates the acid in coffee, making it much easier on the stomach. If you like hot coffee, you can just heat it up after it’s brewed. Might be a way for your body to cope with the reintroduction a little better :-)
