When I quit my job last year, I was pumped to find out about the concept of ‘vacation payout.’ I’m quitting and you’re giving me money? Sweet. At that time, I decided it was only appropriate that I use my vacation payout to go on vacation! A great deal on a flight, off-season hotel prices, and six months of savings later, and a trip to Colorado was born. Matt and I enjoyed going out west so much last year, that we decided to explore another area. We’ll be spending time days in Steamboat Springs and checking out Denver too! As always, recommendations are welcome:)

I've created this blog because I'm in a bit of a quarter life crisis. Since graduating from college in 2008 and earning an advanced degree in school psychology in May, I still don't know what career path to follow. All I know is that time is moving way too fast and I find myself living only for the weekends. Bear with me as I attempt to reclaim my twenties by finding pleasure and balance in the work week and incorporating my passions of food, fashion, fitness, and fun into everyday life.
Oh my gosh! Colorado looks so beautiful! I’ve only been to the airport.. but I’d love to visit during Winter. I’m a California gal… so I am weirdly attracted to the snow
My husband and I just had our honeymoon in Steamboat & Denver!! Be sure to check out Creekside Cafe for breakfast– they have 10+ different varieties of Eggs Benedict!!

Oh my gosh, I would kill for a ‘vacation payout’. Is this a US thing? I’ve never heard of it. But seriously, nothing beats travelling. I definitely can’t wait until you post your trip pics. I’m always looking for new destinations to go to.
I think it might be a US thing – it’s not tons of money, but a nice perk!
Have a blast!
Winona’s Cafe for breakfast is a must! Also, BeauJo’s Pizza for dinner, Bamboo market for vegetarian-friendly picnic supplies, and don’t forget to do the alpine slide!!
The Alpine slide looks so neat, and a little scary!
