Online Shopping: New Finds and Wants

Clothing Shopping

Hi y’all,

How’s it going out there?

Emerson skipped her nap today, so I took her out in the stroller to try to get her to fall asleep.

Stroller naps are now the only time I can browse in stores anymore.  Em pretty much hates shopping, and I always feel guilty making her go with me unless it’s essentials from the grocery store or Target.  I got to thinking how I do almost all of my shopping online these days.  I’m not a natural internet shopper – I like to scout things out in person and I much prefer to try things on. That being said, online shopping is so easy! It doesn’t seem as real as swiping a credit card in person, so sometimes I wonder if it makes us buy more stuff we don’t need or wouldn’t find in person (hello Amazon). Here are a few recent finds and some things I’m lusting after:

We are now obsessed with Native shoes, and I just bought these for Em to wear to a wedding.  They are adorable in person and seem comfy.

I have this water bottle for Emerson, and when one of my Camelbak’s got confiscated at the airport, I decided to buy the adult version for myself. I like it so far!

I kept this dress from my last Stitchfix and it reminds me of my favorite red dress from Urban Outfitters 2012 – same cut, same back, had pockets!

I’m extra excited for fall in Brooklyn!  I’m lusting after the fall collection at Z supply (I discovered the T shirts this summer) because all their stuff is so practical and cozy for mom-ing.

I totally impulse purchased a new curling iron when I saw this extra long one on Amazon.  I just tried it once thus far and think I’m going to love it.

I want to try this shampoo!

Matt and I have talked about getting a king bed, but can’t bear the thought of buying not only a new mattress but a new bed and all new bedding. I LOOOVE this. Some day.

There’s a fabulous sale on J Crew Factory, and I finally replaced the sunglasses Emerson broke.

We got Emerson the next size up of the Kyte sleep bags I’m obsessed with.  This is the largest size they make (18-36), and I’ll be sad when she grows out of it.

I’ve been thinking/wanting to buy the Lulu align leggings for a couple of months now, but just can’t decide if it’s worth it to just lounge around/travel in them.

Share any awesome finds with me! Also, what experiential/free/non-material things are you loving?

Lulu Align leggings are the best pants ever. I’m currently 9 months pregnant and they’ve taken me from months 6-9 very comfortably. I imagine they’ll be a postpartum staple too :).

I had never heard of Z Supply, but I’m loving the neutral colors and comfy looking styles! Have you ordered from them before? Do you know if things run TTS?

I found two of their shirts in a boutique and bought both in small; and they’re a little loose fitting. I usually wear smalls and mediums, so maybe these run a little bit big?

Yes to the Lulu Align leggings! I am 37 weeks pregnant and still living in mine. They stretch so much so I’ll be able to wear them postpartum too. No idea how it works but they are the most comfortable item of clothing I own.

Lulu aligns are 100 percent worth it! Bought my first pair a few months ago and already planning on buying at least 1 or 2 more – perfect for working out and hanging out

Do you work out in them? The lady in the store said you could only do yoga in them or they would pill and wear out very quickly

Really? I’ve been wearing them for a solid 8 months and they are still in great shape! I’ve been wearing them for running and high intensity workout classes mostly as well! They are definitely thinner than say the wunder unders but I find them way more comfortable and lighter – I just try not to wash them a ton and always on cold water, hang to dry and so far so good they still look brand new! (sorry a lot of details)

I’m wearing them right now! I’ve had them for over a year and wear them fairly regularly – during pregnancy, postpartum, and now (baby is 10 mos). There is some pilling in the crotch area, but it’s not noticible and the performance is still great. I had a hard time with the price tag too, but in terms of dollars per wear they are a steal because I wear them so often!

If she continues to love sleep sack after 36 months, look for Woolino. Natural, good quality, and they make them for toddlers. My 2 years old has the size 2-4 years.
