5 Years

Life Travel Twenties

I can’t believe it’s been five years since college! It was so much fun to return to campus for our reunion. We stayed in the dorms – it was very festive, but I can’t believe how small those rooms are. And the beds are terribly uncomfortable. I didn’t do a whole lot of sleeping though:) Highlights of the weekend included seeing my friends again and catching up with those who weren’t at the wedding, walking around the adorable town of…

What’s Next

Life Travel Twenties

I’m home, and slightly sad that it’s over, but really just happy that everything was fabulous. The whole wedding weekend was probably the best weekend of my life, and it meant so much to me that friends and family traveled from all over the country. I’ll recap all three night soon! So what’s next? Well, I went back to work today – the official end of the school year isn’t until next week. Matt has already started some major cleaning…

Wedding Invites!

Twenties Wedding

All invites are out, so here they are! I loved how they turned out, although I can’t say addressing them was my favorite part of wedding planning:) I used Southern Fete Creative, and had them design a custom invitation based on the Garden Suite on their website. Early on, I decided to have custom napkins made through Etsy, and have been using the swatch of fabric as inspiration for a bunch of wedding items. I would highly recommend Southern Fete…

Thoughts from a Thursday

Ramblings Twenties

– I noticed a field full of trucks on my way to work yesterday and today there was a full carnival in the field, including a ferris wheel. That can’t be safe. – I think I see spring on the horizon. Rumor has it, this was one of the coldest March’s on record. -What should I wear to my bridal shower? My mom pointed out that I have plenty of dresses in my closet, but do I look for a…

Tea & Taxes

Ramblings Twenties

I’ve become a real procrastinator lately. Not with wedding or work things, but with other life things.    Like, um, tonight I got around to removing the pink nail polish I put on for our trip to Miami…in December. I’ve also been putting off my taxes. Which really isn’t a big deal because it’s only February, but it’s been at the back of my mind. It only took me like 20 minutes, since my finances at this point in my…

Wedding Weekly (Slash Monthly): An Update

Twenties Wedding

I haven’t written much about the wedding these past two months because I’ve been working on a lot of little things. Thankfully, all the big stuff is done! The details are my favorite part. Invitations When I first started looking at invitations I couldn’t believe how expensive they are! $600 for a piece of paper with black letterpress cursive? I knew I did not want that, so I went for a more modern and colorful invite from a small business:…

Highlights from SoBe

Travel Twenties

I squeezed in a lot of action during the past couple of days in Miami. Matt and I wanted a quick and warm getaway, and when I saw a flight sale I thought, why not South Beach? It was so.much.fun and quite different than many other place I’ve visited in the US. I loooved the international vibe and the European style sidewalk cafes. And the art deco architecture is so neat. Yall know me – eatin’ and drinkin’ is what…

Thoughts From a Tuesday

Clothing Ramblings Twenties

An apple crisp just came out of the oven!!! I’m thinking about skipping the Christmas tree this year:( Matt’s always at school and I just don’t feel the need to put one up for myself when we are spending Christmas at my parents house. Is that Grinch-like and too un-festive? What about you? The senior [business school] prom is this weekend! We’re hosting a pre-party and I couldn’t resist buying this giant bottle of wine from TJ’s. I’m obsessed with…

Dallas Highlights

Travel Twenties

Heyy, I’m back from a fabulous girls weekend in Dallas. It certainly wasn’t a restful weekend, but it was so.much.fun. I’ve been to Dallas a couple of times, but I feel like I got to know the city a bit better this time and I just loved the vibe of Uptown. My friend Liz was such a fantastic host! So without further ado – some weekend highlights: Mambo Taxis [sangria + frozen margarita] and the most amazing shrimp tacos with…
