What’s in the Stars for you?

Uncategorized

Nothing too exciting over here today. You know the Wednesday drill: work, lunch, babysitting, and dinner… Lunch was a little blah today.  I put the last of the lentil-walnut burgers in a wrap, but it needed more cheese and more sauce (we ran out of mustard) because it was too dry. The only excitment of the day was checking the mail.  Somehow Anthropologie knew that October is my birthday month and sent me this cute little pouch. It’s perfect for……

Apples to Apples

Uncategorized

Good Evening, Despite only 6 hours of sleep, I had productive day at the high school and left feeling content. I met with a few of the guidance counselors about my newly-assigned cases and made phone calls to parents. I’m just so pleased to be working at such an awesome place with welcoming, friendly faces:) I’m also pleased that it’s apple season because I’ve been eating them in some form every day. Sometimes I think apples are boring because I…

A Whole New Meaning

Uncategorized

Friday just felt fab-u-lous! I think the weekends are going to have a whole new meaning for me:) After work, I got a hair cut and the head massage felt sooo good. I may have finally found a hair place that I like (and can afford) in Boston. I just got a trim, so you probably can’t tell a difference. My hair cut was in Fenway, so afterwards, I had to walk against hundreds of people going to the Red…

Good Day, Good Eats

Uncategorized

Hi Yall, The days have been flying by and I haven’t felt too tired from getting up at 6:30 [yet]. I spent more time organizing files today, got an email address (!) and learned about different opportunities within the school. In addition to my regular case load, it looks like I might be coordinating the Student Support Team, which is exciting, but very overwhelming at this point. I really need to get myself organized and mentally prepared for the busy…

Spicin’ up Thursday

How goes it? I entertained Ralph for the day and it was nice having an older boy for a change. Ralph can do so many more things than the 2, 3, and 4-year-olds I’ve been with all summer. We played catch, basketball, and a few board games and the day flew by. After work, I got to exercise at a special location! Those of you who live in the area have probably heard about Healthworks (the all women’s gym) because…

Playing Mom…Again

Uncategorized

Howdy, How’s it going? My day started out with some much needed sleep. Despite some crazy thunder, I managed to snooze until 9, which felt glorious. Only two more days + a weekend of freedom before my internship begins! I’m dreading the transition to an adult schedule, but I am getting very excited about working with teenagers and having the responsibilities of a real school psychologist. I didn’t accomplish much this morning, as I watched Rachel Ray, caught up on…

The Usual

Uncategorized

Hi guys, I woke up in a bit of a fog today, but it may have been because my nasal spray ran out (apparently, I have allergies now) or because I had tea instead of coffee this morning. Regardless, I did my usual pre-babysitting routine of stair climber and yogurt bowl… And then I took my boys to the park for a bit.  The hot weather is back, but it’s that breezy late August type of weather that signifies the…

Long Day

Uncategorized

I just got back from an exhausting day at the aquarium. I am currently watching You Tube videos of Thomas the tank engine collections. Apparently this is how 3-year-olds are spending their free time these days. Be back with a recap this evening!…

Introducing Cam the Canon

Shopping

Another rainy day here in Boston.  Boy am I glad to be warm and dry on my couch in these: I had to leave for babysitting around 9:30 this morning so I got up a bit earlier than I would have liked to fit in a quick 30 minutes at the gym.  Even though 8AM is not that early, I felt like a zombie when I woke up due to the lack of sleep this weekend.  I chugged a cup of…
