PB Morning, Noon, & Night

Clothing

Good evening, I’ve responded to all of your comments! It looks like I have a bit of thinking to do. Some of that thinking has already taken place…aka, during my IEP presentation to 12 other professionals today! During the meeting, my thought of the moment on the matter was that I wanted to be on the social work side of the table because we were dealing with an emotionally heavy case:( I felt drained after work so the gym didn’t…

Surprise Friday Night

Cooking

No work tomorrow!!! Although we will have to make up the day in June, I’m hoping my workload will be a bit lighter on the last day of school and maybe I won’t need to go… The nice thing about a snow day is that it kinda of forces you to relax because I’m guessing that not a whole lot will be open. I’m planning to sleep in, finish writing a report, get a decent work-out in (my gym time…

Out of Season

Cooking

Well it was bound to happen – I left my computer cord at work, so I now have a dead computer with no way to revive it until Monday:(  I’m still able to blog  Matt’s computer, but I don’t have the pictures from this week and thus the lack of a Fashion Friday post… Other than that, Friday was good and very low-key.  My meeting went surprisingly well (we found the child ineligible for special ed) and I got quite…

Sad + Glad

Travel

Well the vacation is officially over:( Although I’m mostly sad, I must say, I’m a little bit glad after twelve days of travel. I missed my apartment! I also haven’t worked out since last Wednesday, so I’m craving a little sweat. The one thing I’m not excited about at all is getting up at 6:40 to go to my internship. This time yesterday, I was just finishing up a lovely dinner, and this time tonight, I’m already late for bed.…

Breakfast of Champions + Crumbs

Uncategorized

Man, have I eaten well in 2010. I have so much good food to share with you guys. I’ll start with yesterday’s dinner because I didn’t get to it last night. In the spirit of using up every morsel in our house before heading to NC, I decided to get rid of these chip crumbs in Sunday’s dinner. I crunched the tortillas a bit with my hands and then combined them with paprika, salt, and pepper and dipped egg-white covered…

Counting, Not Wishing

Clothing

Hola readers!! I know I’m not supposed to be wishing away the days, but I can’t help but note that there are only TWO more work days until the break!!!!! I’m getting very excited to go home, but I’m a little concerned about the snow situation because there’s talk of a nor’easter…. Not much to report today…I’m just plugging along at the old internship and I’m headed out for drinks after work. The weekend before Christmas is actually a dull…

Under My Belt

Uncategorized

Knocked another IEP off the list this morning!! I’m glad I have four under my belt now, as I’m definitely getting more comfortable presenting assessment results to parents. I’m finally to the point where getting up every day and going to work feels less foreign and more natural, so I guess that means I’m adjusting well? How long did it take you guys to get used to the working world? Today was my last day of babysitting for two weeks,…

Doin the Thursday Dance

Uncategorized

Guys, I can almost taste the weekend. Although I felt great without fructose this week (physically, not emotionally), the old belches didn’t change one bit, so I think its time to gradually re-introduce sweetness in my life and see what happens. The fructose elimination has been a wonderful exercise in self-control and has actually taught me a bit about about how much sugar I’m really eating each day, so I’d recommend the challenge. I had another productive and easy-going day at…

Another Day

Uncategorized

Another day at the internship, another day of babysitting, and another yummy dinner to turn my semi-boring Wednesday into something more fun. Matt chopped the brussels and I made a simple sauce out of peanut butter, soy sauce, water, and sriracha based on this recipe from Cooking Light. I’ve missed soy sauce in my life because there’s so many fun things you can do with it. I stir-fried the noodles in the sauce and garlic and then added shrimp and…
