I know I’m over mono because all of a sudden I have my energy back – I’m so happy to feel normal, and I finally feel like I’m used to staying at home full time.
I’ve seen most beautiful snow flakes here – they’ve been giant in the past two storms and seem to float upwards in the crazy nor’easter wind.
I have a lot more time to keep up with friends now, and I’ve enjoyed having friend dates, play dates, and phone calls. I’ve been able to see three Davidson friends just this week which reminds me that there are perks to NYC when I really miss Dallas.
I haven’t been baking at all here – my kitchen is just so small that I don’t feel inspired/don’t want to make a mess. I finally baked a loaf of banana bread Monday night, and it’s been a lovely afternoon snack.
The flu has peaked and I’m back to the gym childcare (watch us get it this week, ha). It has be so wonderful to take a workout class or zone out on a machine!! I didn’t realize how much I was missing this. I was soo tired of nap time videos even though I love a good PopSugar Fitness workout.
Anyone else used this? I tried it at a facial once and loved it, so I decided to order a sample. While I love how it feels/how my skin looks when I wash the mask off, it feels rough and weird the next day when I wash my face – it’s like the texture of my skin changes. I guess that’s what it’s supposed to do, but it’s not soft like I would expect! I also ordered a serum that I can’t wait to try from Mad Hippie! Anyone have skin miracle products you swear by?

As for skin care and make up I use younique. They have 3 wonderful masks, and a full skin care line with serum, face wash, moisturizer, etc. It’s amazing. I wish I could attach a picture, but honestly I have used it for 2 weeks now and already see a difference.

March 23, 2018 at 3:06 pmLast year I switched to Beautycounter to work on reducing chemicals in my skincare. I will admit prior to that I used the cheapest facewash and moisturizer… I am now using “adult” skincare products which I really enjoy. One of my favorite tricks recently is making my own face wash. Coffee grounds, brown sugar, and coconut oil It feels SO GOOD afterwards, and I’ve used it on my hands, feet, and lips as well. Only downside is it makes a MESS! But it exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time. Can’t beat the price either!
