Life Ramblings

Hello,

It’s been a weird week because Matt was traveling and we’ve had a guy here working to update our fireplace!  I can’t wait for you to see the finished product. It was a bit loud and our normal play space was out of commission so we’ve had a lot of skipped naps (Em is like every 3rd day now anyway). I’ve been hanging out in our play area upstairs and it’s so nice and sunny. I need to hang there more often, but I’m so addicted to our sectional downstairs.  Speaking of sun, can you believe daylight sayings is next week?  Spring is almost here! I’m excited for Emerson to start soccer next week – she has the cutest little jersey.

I ordered some new running shoes, as I’m hoping to run a little bit this spring.  Between extra postpartum healing and the mono, I think I’ve only run twice since last year?  I’m not a huge runner, but I do enjoy it maybe once a week when the weather is warmer.  I also love having the flexibility of the running stroller and I’m hoping Avery can ride in it soon! I’m trying On Cloud for the first time after wearing Asics for years, so I’ll let you know.

Avery’s personality is coming out so much these days.  She’s always busy and squealing and doesn’t want me to hold her when there are more interesting things around. Emerson was a very snuggly baby, but Avery is already finished sleeping on me, and won’t even put her head on my shoulder to rest. I’m nervous as to what she’s going to be like as a toddler:)  Emerson is loving that Avery is more interactive and I can’t get enough of them together.

I feel like my hormones are changing because I’ve been craving sweets like crazy. I made some healthy oatmeal cookies on Tuesday and banana bread today. I’m always in the pantry eating the chocolate chips out of the trail mix.  I think I need to get some better snacks in my house, especially for Emerson (who snacks constantly).

One of the best things about Matt being home tonight? We can finally catch up on the bachelor.  g2g watch!

What’s new with you?

Such cute kiddos! Be sure to check the instructions of your running stroller. My jogger said to wait until babies were 9 months or older.

Running with the stroller is the best! I started running with both kids at 6 weeks of age with them in their car seats using the BOB adapter. It’s so nice to run and see them look around or nap. Don’t let people scare you away from running with fear mongering. If you think about it, they get bounced around more in a car than when slowly running on a smooth sidewalk/asphalt 🙂
